I’m a light skin woman my damn self and even i got disgusted at people in my own family acting like our complexions were needed to be highlighted and posted on social media.

My cousin did that bullshyt and then men calling me a redbone. I had to school grown ass men on why their thoughts and words were problematic. Schooling dark skin black men on colorism was ridiculous.

It’s makes no sense how so-called black men don’t see their own colorism and how so-called black people don’t even see their own discrimination against dark skin black women.

Y’all really act like that issue just came out of nowhere.

Dark skin women are discriminated against by every community. So if they’re annoyed by certain individuals well it’s called cause and effect.

I've seen dark skinned women deal with colorism but never in an academic or corporate setting...at least in my experience.

The sistas that advanced were all darker, American and occasionally Ghanaian or Nigerian, usually normal/average....not unattractive but not supeemodels.

Light skinned might be advantageous with Latinos or some Blacks, but it doesn't seem that helpful in a mostly white space.

Once again, colorism came from men. How can you even make a claim that’s it’s mostly women speaking on this when you catapulted the problem? How many more pawg and paag threads do you need to see before you start to realize where problem comes from?

Breh if you're a dark skin black man in his mid to late 30s it was hell for us as kids and teens most of the colorist comments I got was from black women they would legit say who wants a black azz baby,they only want light skin kids or they wouldn't touch a dark skin boy with a ten foot pole and these were brown skin and dark skin black girls
