Being beautiful is most certainly a cheat code, and if you encounter racism or colorism without a doubt when you turn the corner you will bump into someone who falls in love with your “look”.

However, colorism is definitely a thing one will experience regardless of how attractive you are considered.

I’ve told stories on here about the wild shyt negroes said to me simply because I was pretty but not light skinned.


Colorism is DEF a real thing in our community, but it won’t stop you from finding someone who genuinely cares. It’s a lot of guys on that type of time (especially when we’re young, like teens and 20s), but not all guys.

I've dealt with work discrimination equally as bad being placed in companies as the only black male hire or non black female dominant companies.

My last job was me being punished and ridiculed weekly for a year by the only darkskin (Jamaican) woman at the job (my CDT manager) before being let go and we were the only 2 black people at the company.

I'm debunking that shıt. There's black people that are gatekeepers at companies and are just equally as toxic as the cacs there.
