Therefore, folks aren't risking their careers knowing those facts. So saying people of color allows them to give the illusion of addressing black issues without making us the priority.
and it's just offensive on its face. Saying "colored people" is very offensive. Marginally changing that to "people of color" changes nothing. It's like the Winnie the Pooh meme, trying to make something fancy and less offensive.

Many of you ignored when some of us warned that many Hispanics come from very racist countries that treat Black people like crap. We also warned that as they got their numbers up, you would see their racism express itself more brazenly than before.
Those migrants coming in will have children born here who are U.S. citizens, and a large portion of them will bring the racism their parents practiced in their country right here into ours. If you supported the Democrats laxity on the borders and any idea to give amnesty to these illegal migrants, you supported more racism for Black people in the US.
Even when I was a child in the 70s - 80s in Los Angeles, I realized their nature and views towards us. Really, all of you that speak about Black and Brown unity ever notice that the Brown coalition rarely if ever used the same phrase when discussing their issues? Did you not notice that they separated themselves from us when they were pushing policies for themselves, while we always sought to include them in pushes for policies for all of us?
Perhaps it is time for many of you wake up and focus on Black first, sans any other group. There is no coalition unless said coalition can use us for their own purposes. We allow ourselves too many times to be mules for everyone else, and then they do not know us when it is their turn to return the favor.
Please, realize the game being played. Stop trying to uplift everyone else before our own. They are definitely not returning the favor.
