You'd think nobody realizes who the fukk Aldo is :mindblown: they making it seem like Conor is fighting some bum.

New fans caught in the hype the same way they thought Rousey was gonna trample all over Holly. They have no idea what WEC is. People who are actual fight fans are just caught up in the hype I suppose.

All training camps are done. :banderas:

*Waits for Chris Weidman to trip on a Hot Wheel in the middle of the night*

I think that Mendes fight has a lot of people gassed up about Conor. Even though Mendes had an extremely short camp a lot of people thought he was still going to run through Conor, and when that didn't happen it made people look at him as a legitimate threat to Aldo.

Also when you throw in the fact that Aldo got tagged a lot in that Mendes fight it makes people think he's ripe to be beaten by a guy with striking skills like Conor.

this card is so ill. :blessed:

honestly...i can see conor winning this fight. his stand-up is that good. i mean, he was on some fukk-around diaz brothers shyt with chad mendes! and took him out in 2 rounds.... but i'm picking aldo. he's one of the most all-around skilled fighters out there, he's got the experience, the pedigree...dude has so much going for him it's hard to bet against him. i definitely think he can stand with mcgregor but he's also become a really good wrestler and has good top control...i think that's the big difference. aldo can bang with him and he has other tools that he can use. as far as we know conor doesn't have that other stuff...he's mostly a striker (who can get taken down but does a pretty good job getting up, as per the mendes fight).

weidman/rockhold? these guys are like the white versions of ryu vs ken, they're basically the same. they might fight a little different but their attributes seem to be pretty fukking even. so i dunno why to be honest...i'm going with jake though. weidman seems to always have the skillset and gameplan to shut guys down but for some reason i think rockhold's gonna pull something off, i think he finishes chris. i still have doubts have weidman for some reason :yeshrug:if he wins i guess i'll have to throw it all out the window.

this 3rd fight :ohlawd: i'm not the only one who wanted to see this for a long time. i'm going with jacare though. freaky powerful wrestler vs. freaky powerful bjj guy...a much more experienced, tested guy. plus as good as romero's credentials are, his wrestling hasn't translated all that great. i mean, even if he gets souza down he's at risk. then again, romero's ground and pound is nasty.............fukk it, i'm sticking with jacare.

i got gunnar...i think he's the better striker, i think he can keep maia from taking him down and if worse comes to worse i also think he can keep himself in good enough position and defend till the clocks runs out.

as far as stephens/holloway goes...long story short, max is better. stephens has more pure ko power but i can't say much in his favor other than that. i think holloway wins, so then he should be a fight away from going for the strap.

As far as Conor goes his biggest strength going in will be his power.

I dunno how good his TDD is. It didn't look good against Mendes. He was also unable to get up until Mendes made the mistake of going for his neck.

I feel like Aldo should win. But Conor has the skill to pull off an upset
