If these bytches would get proactive and stop selling the fans piss and calling it lemonade then losing dunleavy would be nothing.

Cause I'm sorry I missed the part where dunleavy was this corner stone to the franchise and I clearly recall 2 post seasons in a row where he got his ass smoked on defense. Game 2 in cleveland rings a huge bell.

We should be on the phone with Gerald green. We should be on the phone with Denver trying to get chandler who Denver is begging for anyone to take off they hands as long as they get a asset.

Nope, back to the bargain bin for us.

furthermore, if MDJ could actually guard his position, then JB wouldn't have had to guard lebron while being relied on to score 20+ppg in the playoffs each game while playing 45mpg.

Ya'll got to chill on the hate just a bit. We have no flexibility whatsoever, any move that could really transform the roster would have to be done through trades, and who is to say they havent been active trying that?

Would you prefer that the Bulls were cheap and just let Dunleavy walk for nothing? If anything signing him means we have full rights to all of our exceptions since we are retaining players with bird rights over the cap right now, and will be paying the tax

The cap is going up, and its not like 5 mil is drastically overpaying. If the 3rd year is a team option, I would be 100% cool with the signing

Ya'll laugh about internal improvement, but thats exactly what we need with Rose, Noah, Snell & McDermott right now along with the infusion of a new coach

whats wrong with letting him walk????

gotta see what snell and mcdermott can do eventually. I'd rather do it sooner than later.

If we let him walk and he signs with the Cavs, the story would be the Bulls were too cheap to pay the tax

So.... .:francis:

I rather have dunleavy jr on the bulls than cavs or wizards :manny: and if it's a team option or partially guaranteed for the 3rd year then I'm good

dude's not part of the future. he can bounce. I'd rather offer that MLE money to a younger player.

breh ..... this signing insures we HAVE the MLE to offer

correct me if Im wrong @red222 , but this signing doesnt negatively affect our ability to have exception deals, it only strengthens it

and why would we let Dunleavy bounce, especially to another Eastern Conf team?

we would be going into the season with either Snell/Doug starting with no depth on the bench at the wings

we still need to sign a backup PG too, so the exceptions may need to go to that

I thought the MLE was for non-tax teams :patrice:

don't signings like this push them towards that threshold?

:snoop: They didn't use the mid level. They still have the mini mid level, the bulls won 50 games with a stubborn coach who refused to change things,a predictable offense and the starting 5 who played 23 games total last year.If they are healthy, have a better offense and a couple players have better seasons bulls will still compete for the east.Y'all complain too much man

I just find it frustrating because if the news today was that the Cavs/Wiz were close to signing Dunleavy, Bulls fans would be KILLING the front office for being cheap
