they drafted the best player available. they obviously have to move a big regardless of portis, but they don't seem to really have any sense of urgency about doing so.

That picture gives me this eerie feeling of what the future holds like when lovie got fired. Many players clearly didn't want lovie to leave. That showed up especially on the defense when the bears resumed playing.
Could be nothing, but jimmy wanting that short deal might not only be to help the front office out, but might be his escape plan.
This introduces the idea of maybe trading jimmy rather than lose him for nothing.

If jimmy only signs a short tern contract I'd be open to movin him .. What do y'all think ??? ( obviously not straight away )

Personally I wouldn't have apologize. He was 15/16. He had no clue one day he would of been drafted and let alone the bulls

Wouldn't read much into this personally. Jimmy's only coach he had in the league a person who gave him a shot and help mold him into a 50 million dollar Contract. I'd take that man to dinner 3 more times lol
