Most Southerners love NYC accents low key.
Opposites tend to attract in nature.
The beef comes from y'all constantly making fun of how we talk and because it's different, thinking we're slow.
Not understanding that we can talk like y'all too, we just chose to speak in our native dialect.
No different than Haitians, Jamaicans, West Africans, etc. that still choose to speak "pigeon English/French" and patois when talking with their people.
shyts changing a little now, as we interact more with each other thanks to the internet, but that's the traditional issue, and I still see it up here from time to time.
That's definitely one topic we can address on the pod.
