This has been going on for at least 5 years at increasing levels. The pure existance of Bullet Club as a stable reflects this. The premise is everything puro is not. Its why it didnt do well in the beginning in japan.

Honestly, I miss NJPW having a more puro centric focus. Watching alot of wrestling promotions in this day and age is great because of how easy it is, but i miss how different the work used to be. I feel like western promotions were chasing the puro match style and b*stardized into fun spotfests over the past 15 years.

NJPW has then become more engrained with western promotions and use so much foreign talent that the styles have merged. Everything is so homogenized now a days for better or worse. Everybody works the same more or less regardless of the promotion you watch. It's an interesting time to be a fan, but long term I'm not certain it's for the better.

It's starting to look like a US promotion with some Japanese wrestlers in it:lolbron: I'm going to miss Inokism man. Shibata was the last of a dying breed :mjcry:
