Just saw the Shibata/Okada match goddamn it was good from beginning to end, whole time had me like
Shibata is that dude.
Props to Okada, people hate that he wins all the time but to me he's a defending champion and you got to win to make that title reign credible. With the onslaught gauntlet of Omega, Suzuki, Shibata and etc Okata had to deal with this year he deserves his props. With that being said Okada is being the champion the correct way because of 2 reasons:
1. Okada time after time shows that he is extra durable as hell which is what you should be when you're a champion of any kind and weight class, no matter who you are you have to bring it to him 5x more than you normally do and even then that might not be enough to defeat him.
2. A ton of Okada's success comes from the simple fact that he doesn't let the opponent hit their finisher on him. Omega never hit his One Winged Angel on Otada at Wrestle Kingdom and he didn't win, this match Shibata never hit his Penalty Kick and he didn't win. It's surprising how WWE doesn't know how much in the long run that logic makes a champion credible and/or a top level wrestler credible, WWE likes to have everyone spam their finishers and kick out of them multiple times in a match and it loses all meaning in the long run.
