I didn’t even know that he was black. But yeah he’s very right wing on everything from police to affirmative action.

This thread is a continuation of that. Elected officials are making real time decisions reacting to real life events. Not a think tank study or a social experiment, but protecting the public safety of human beings. And responding to things that threaten that safety.

This is a very polarized political and social climate. Unwittingly, people slip in echo chambers and may dismiss those who don't agree with them, write them off as "the other side". That doesn't change the facts on the ground, though. It never does.
