This shyt hurts because I been following Nipsey's career for over a decade and was a fan of the music, the movement and the business he had built from the ground up

He was low-key one of the wealthiest rappers in the game....was huge on entrepreneurship, technology and investing.

He helped out alot of black people in LA, employing people to get them off the streets and do something productive.

Nipsey was a hybrid of Pac and Jay. He was a different breed. :mjcry:

I think I'm gonna log off and call it a night.:mjcry:

how come when a black person kills another black person, we always blaming the ENTIRE black community?

shyt sounds like a white supremacist talking point. "you killed this dude but yall let Zimmerman live!" Who the fukk is yall?

yall want these criminals you hate to police their own communities? and then be pro- black vigilantes on the side?
when has that EVER happened in society? ever? in human history?
Cause c00ning is an epidemic
The nikka meek put out all this negative music and energy but got the nerve to hop up on a soap box:mjlol:

Rip Nipsey. Hopefully other rappers start a unified non-violence movement. I'm looking forward to summer and don't wanna see people getting killed over bullshyt everywhere.

The changes required to put this violence to an end can't happen from the top down, which is what a non-violence movement spearheaded by artists would be. It would be nothing more than a symbolic - but ultimately ephemeral - gesture in the wake of a tragic death that won't have any lasting impact on the violence in our communities. The change needs to come from the bottom, as it always has. There needs to be a fundamental intervention in the lives of black people that addresses the core reasons this violence continues: endemic poverty that leaves few opportunities for economic development; inadequate funding for schools that neither equip our children with sufficient skills to enter the workforce nor imparts upon them a capacity for critical thinking and the building blocks to become entrepreneurs who do the hiring; inadequate diets and nutritional deficiency that contributes to poor health, both of body and mind. Basically, the endeavors Nipsey was pursuing before his death.

A non-violence movement from rappers is a deflection, imo. :francis:

The government probably killed him or it was a higher up with power. RIP. A public murder and no word on the suspect or who did it. He wasn't perfect and he said some ignorant shyt but he was saying some empowerment shyt or some revolutionary shyt especially at a time when his neighborhood was more than likely being gentrified.

Hopefully folks can come together and use this tragedy to empower themselves, buy their community and make some revolutionary shyt because they really knocking off anybody that is possibly making progress. They want folks to go to war and eventually lose all the progress nipsey was trying to do.

6:02 PM PT -- Our sources are clear ... this appears to be gang-related to the law enforcement officers that are working the case.

5:46 PM PT -- Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... the suspect cops are looking for is a black male in his 20s. We're told he approached Nipsey and co. by foot Sunday afternoon and fired multiple shots ... only to depart right after in what we're told appeared to be a nearby waiting vehicle with a separate driver, who our sources say was female.
