This is why people say the "liberal media" is one in the same as the open racists. The abc boys from MSNBC to NBC to CNN all act the same and are predictable as hell. There is never any professional journalism in these situations. Even when it comes to someone who was likely the most community active rapper of all time, they cannot find the time to stop the sensationalism. They just sit around with their talking heads talking about "gang violence". They may mention briefly how Nipsey gave back but they wont spend those 10 to 15 mins breaking it down by showing sources of the citizens of the community speaking on what he did and actually showing the businesses that he owned or his STEM center.

I do not get why they are never called out for this. Enough is enough. They can't take 30 mins out their day to do that? They spam us with Trump 24/7 but can't find the same energy for this

Nipsey WAS Malcolm X

His story starts off the same as Malcolm when he was red. The transition was taking place and the promotion of positivity and unity is the same.

Alot of you nikkas whp only know dude from media and music fail to fully understand what he was about. You definitely ain't from LA. Spectators trying to ref the game

His comment shows that people are never satisfied.

Probably was one of the same person that for years called out rappers for not putting in work then when we get one now all of a sudden "its not a big deal". Don't be shocked breh to see him and other detractors to start saying Nipsey's humanitarian work was "overrated". They use the word for music all the time but watch them start using it for the Nipsey and J Coles for community work. Sounding goofy as hell like some racist cacs.

You dont know what shots he was calling behind the scenes. If nipseys fellow gang member had murdered an innocent hard working black man that day instead of him and nipsey knew about it. What would he do? Would he help the family of the man killed get justice? You know the answer.. There is no middle ground. Either you are a part of the problem or a part of the solution. Gangs and drug dealers have terrorized black neighborhoods for far too long. Stop idolizing them.

I think we do know the answer. He wouldn't snitch but he would tell him to turn himself in...thats common sense breh

Reality is there is no such thing as a positive gang banger. No matter how good your intentions are. Promoting that lifestyle is promoting and surrounding yourself with destruction. Many have tried and failed like nipsey to straddle both worlds. It never ends well. He just got further than most.

Folks keep talking about how we stop the cycle of violence... part of that is in the message you send the youth. They are listening. They are watching. And yall are misleading them by glorifying the gang lifestyle. And it will just lead to more youth thinking they can do the same thing and be that "positive gangster". The media loves pushing that image to black youth cause it's a trap. You will end up dead or in jail.

In all this mourning I don't hear anyone talking about leaving this gang stuff alone. I see blue flags on his RIP posters and shirts. If he wasnt a crip he wouldnt even be associated with the bum who shot him. We dont need the youth to try to be nipsey. That ain't the way.. We need them to emulate byron Allen, magic Johnson, Robert Smith etc.

Nipsey ‏ @NipseyFanpage
On behalf of Roc Nation/Jay-Z, Hov just set up a $15 million dollar trust fund for Nipsey’s kids with Lauren London as executive power over it. We been telling you, Jay-Z is the goat. Thanks for all the love Hov, we know you loved Nip a lot coz you saw yourself in him

Jay bought 100 of those $100 (thought they were $1,000 a piece) CDs.
