When you have a child with a woman, you kinda empower her to be a guardian/executrix of your estate belonging to that child with her. So unless you change that (maybe because you lost trust in her) in writing, it will likely remain that woman with which you had that child.
Like it or not, the baby mama's have more legal power than Nipsey's brother because children are next of kin. .

absolutely incorrect. there is a list of priorities that the court can choose from and "baby mama" is not even specified on the list but may qualify as "other person" which is last on the list. parents and siblings are high on the list and they can even nominate each other (which i believe is what is happening here).
