I feel like this is cathartic for all of us but not just because of Nip. He's just the catalyst. I think he would appreciate it and I hope that his fam does. I struggled not to cry when my Dad passed. I cried but I wanted to keep it together for my son. Today I was alone watching this and I let it go. Thank you Nip. Love.

I don’t think any rapper or celeb in general will be able to shut the city down like this in my lifetime. I know LA dudes love Kobe but he’s not from there. The only scenario I can think of is if Derrick Rose never got hurt, kept playing for the Bulls, won several rings, died prematurely then maybe we’d see something similar in Chicago. Nipsey is true people’s champ. What a life and what a loss.

Its about the business and persona too...not just the music.

Nipsey touched people in a more encompassing way. Thats why his interviews were turning into its own brand of entertainment. He knew that too. Music was just becoming another vehicle for him, not just the primary one. He was a brand unto himself.

Few people can do that at this point.

I'm saying Ross, Jay, Nas, and maybe Drake could do that at this point and I'm not even joking. I don't know if Diddy even could because Diddy has somewhat fallen back from really stepping on the gas of being "out there" like that.
