“Those editors don’t live this life. They don’t go through the struggle. I’m from the Rollin 60’s, my n***a. They don’t understand what putting an album out is to me. It ain’t the same as one of them backpack n***as, or one of them college-rapping types. That ain’t the shyt I do. I got enemies. I went to war for real in between albums. My life is real.”

cut it out. Nipsey was on that bullshyt to when he was Pac's age. He matured as he aged, Pac would have done the same.

You really trying to use and completely out of context bit when addressing the editors from COMPLEX who never lived in the hood and were raised a privileged life??? You really on some bullshyt. People know he's speaking on his music as it correlated to the realities that he had to endure in gang culture. He cannot escape it, not he someone who ever exploited it. That's not being on that bullshyt, that's speaking his truth.... to which clearly you have NO IDEA what that's life. You a mark ass square obviously that wouldn't make it a day on the 'Shaw or Slauson.

And saying 'Pac would of done the same is wishful thinking. 'Pac mostly created his own demise due to lack of understanding to a lot of street politics. That's why New York nikkaz played him. That's why Jimmy Iovine played him, sold him over to Suge and Suge exploited him. Got him to embrace LA gang culture that 'Pac had NO BUSINESS to invest himself in. And it's what got him ultimately killed.

People watch that video of pac in art school and assume he wasn't still living in the hood. Pac grew up in some terrible cities surrounded by poverty and crime. Eventually he just went from boy to man. He realized in order to gain respect he had to be tough. But he always admitted he wasn't no true "tough" guy. In every interview he let it be known he wasn't a street dude. But he still demanded respect from everybody. Not many men would have the heart to go at legit crime bosses. Dude even went at the Jewish mafia. Pac just had too much heart for his own good, and he was too young to fully control it. But he was definitely on his way. For 26 years old, dudes intellect was crazy. And everybody who came up with him agree that he was 100% genuine.

We shouldn't even be comparing nipsey and pac. It's two different things. Both men died as soldiers.
:yeshrug: Just cause you grew up in the hood doesn’t mean you in the streets. The dude we saw in that art video definitely wasn’t in the streets

She tells me that I'm wrong for not using emotion
Too busy to love a broad and I can't lose focus
But maybe in a different life
Maybe when we make it we'll meet at the finish line
Maybe this is fate maybe god will send a sign
But more than likely he'll say nikka grind

:whew:

Brehhhhhhh when this shyt first came out I played it to death. Even now it’s few songs that motivate like this. :banderas:

"Me I'm getting, back rubs from these leather seats

Negotiating equity positions you'll never be

Rap sheet full of felonies

Status symbol on my set of keys

They say I was selling dreams

Back to the brick wall I'm inhaling trees

Visualizing hella cheese you can smell the weed

nikkas doubt pessimism ain't affecting me

Fuel to the fire took it higher than they ever see

Frequent flight seat like seven seas

Shopping spree spent about 11Gs

Eyes bloodshot I don't ever sleep

My nikkas act on instinct we don't ever think

When confronted with a problem we don't ever flee

We connected at the bottom like the letter V

So accustomed to the pop we don't even blink

When them shots go off get the Glock show off

Yellow tape a nikka he grew up to hate a nikka

Nothing major nikka just a demonstration nikka

Within the matrix nikka I drew illustrations with him

Words that is, for sure that is

Look, that nikka got his off the curb, that is

So how the fukk that nikka so concerned with his

I be baffled by the fact when nikkas burn their bridge

Then try to double back like, what the fukk is that?

Like, nikkas want this rap life way too bad"

This verse just so ridiculous. Love this fukking song!

I lowkey used to be in my feelings sometimes hearing this song cuz the words hit so hard with the beat. That was before he died, I can’t barely deal with that shyt now. :snoop:

Smh. nikkas really slept (almost typed sleep smh) on Nip as a lyricist. Couple that with how the bars touch your soul and drove you to wanna get out there and go after it. Bar none, easy. People tried to write cuh off as just another West Coast nikka talking that bangin' shyt but he had bars for real and some dope ass schemes and flows when you really get down to it.
