Last night I was on here and read he got shot. I went to bed and couldn’t really sleep but managed to get some rest, I woke to hearing my younger brother play Blue Notes. I knew then he didn’t make it. I’m hurt guys.

I’ve been listening and following Nip since BAGNN. I’ve always been a fan and loved the music he put out. The trajectory his career took made me so happy for him. This guy put out motivational music; for gym, for money, for the way one with honour is to move. This is so fukked up.

An intelligent man who articulated himself so well so he could to relate to everyone. The work he was doing outside of music was special, the way he spoke about Africa was a breath of fresh air, his relationships with other rappers reflected in the great music he made.

I haven’t really listened to Prodigy since he passed as I find it painful and the way he passed hit home. I hope I don’t do the same for Nip but shyts painful man.

I hope his work can be continued. I pray for his children, his family, his woman, his friends, all us of fans for solace.
