who are the other 2 guys?

dont recognize them. forgot rimpau's real name, but i used to catch the yellow bus with him at leimert park. cool nikkas man, never on no super "og gangsta og" shyt, you would hardly know they banged.

i last saw nip 2 or 3 christmases ago when my wife's people was out here and i bought them crenshaw shirts. he had BEEN blown up in the neighborhood at that point but not quite kickin it wit jay n shyt like that. had to temper my excitement when he recognized me and spoke on the humble ha. i remember this nikka selling incense and cd's at the liquor bank and at the arco on vernon. nikka really made it on his own terms.

*plays the hussle way*

If people want a real solid look at Los Angeles, everyone needs to notice the Black and Mexican interactions.

Of course everybody likes to point out the violent edge cases though, but here folks are cool with each other united through hip-hop and in this case Nipsey's music.
Have family out there and my cousins here go out there almost like dozen times a year. Everyone says that whole thing is exaggerated.

and that is not wants making blacks leaves theres other reasons that nikkas with their bias dont want to acknowledge but that is for another thread

I don't think you understand how accessible nipsey was. I ran into him at his old studio off of 7th and olive in DTLA. he was waiting for his people in the lobby. I was going with my homies to another floor. We walked in as he was letting his people in and he gave each one if me and my homies dap as we crossed paths "neighborhood"

Seen him on Santa Monica and Fairfax at that gas station filling up the maybach like a regular nikka. Just a head nod.

Anybody could walk up to him. He wasn't behind hella security
I think this was the problem after a certain level you can't be too accessible. You have to limit your time spent in the hood jealousy kills. Not trying to sound funny but i predicted this shyt a mile off.
Duke survived his whole life in the hood but gets murdered as a successful entrepreneur at 33. No coincidence at all.

shyt for brehs like 25+, Mac and Nip were 2 huge figures in the game. They aint Pac and Big but they're important for the generation of rappers that they're apart of. At the end of the day it's the real nikkas that always end up leaving us smh.
I would absolutely put Nipsey in the same space as someone like Pac, for the generation hes from he is their 2Pac for a lot of people. Theres a lot of similarities between the two of them in and outside of the music. Nipsey was well on his way to becoming a real leader, and affecting real tangible change. He promoted the same types of ideology Pac did, and clearly had a love for humanity the way Pac did and wanted to affect the world in a positive way.

This sh*t really hurts, i just got into him last year and was a breath of fresh air from all the sh*t that's out today. Been bumpin him almost everyday and thinking "this dude has some of the realist sh*t i've heard in a minute" :ohhh: and then just like that he's gone :mjcry:

out of all the people in the world, my girl told me about his passing saying "Hey do you know who this nipsey hussle guy is" and i'm like :dwillhuh:, grabbing her phone asking her wtf do you mean with a bad feeling in my stomach :to:

It's always the great ones that go :snoop: life ain't sh*t brehs :pacspit:

can;t front im in my feelings brehs

this aint gon be everbodies cup of gin and juice cuz cacs and shyt but the whole track is eerie to me (not only sound wise) and in a way one of the things he was involved with easiest to listen to right now (his energetic music i can't play again yet)

it's incredible how much duke put up for slauson and crenshaw literally putting those names on everything he could to find his demise in... Slauson Ave and Crenshaw Blvd

why i believe his verse is special here in these circumstances:

it's representative for what nipsey stood for as a rapper
he mentions tupac (who left pretty much the same way)
he mentions boosie who's comment about home is where the hatred is made the rounds recently and fits perfectly to the situation
last bar can be interpreted as ''live by the gun...''

Uh, I feel like a legend in these Puma suedes
I'ma still make millions when this music fade

Reinvent every time the music change
My gut had me feeling like I knew the way
I feel like I spoke for my generation
All game and my demonstration
To my gang, I'm a different greatness
Pay dues, never missed a payment
Stay true, now it's entertainment
Feel like I'm built for whatever storm
Whatever way the game test me, in whatever form
War in dark times that they never saw
I feel like I stand tall and can never fall (Yeah)
I feel like a one on one (Alright)
Like the last dope boy in the game with a hunnid tons (Yeah)
2Pac after Troublesome
A Boosie Badazz, drop a bag on you nikkas if I want it done

there's only a few months difference in age between us, now he'll never see how 40, 50, 60 and a natural death feels, he did speak in many ways for our generation

certain times i sense there's more hate than love in this world, this is one of those days

rip nip and thank you for your short but significant presence

Naw, that’s what most likely happened..

No nikka from another turf gonna come to his area, hop out a car and shoot 3 people..

Security and his homies had they guards down

Anybody could get there. Crenshaw/Slauson is not super deep in the hood. It’s close. But it’s a busy intersection. You can get to the 405 in less than 10 mins in light Sunday traffic. Anybody could roll up in there real quick handle business and dip.
