A week ago PlayStation/Xbox Stans were using Nintendo to throw shots at each other, but those Nintendo numbers dropped and dudes been lowkey pissed since.
I'm pissed because Nintendo is the least deserving company in the space to get the level of success they have. Deep down in all these years they still haven't changed.
So many miserable experiences they put their customers and the industry through. I remember downloading digital content to a handheld Nintendo device and having to change hardware was a nightmare. Hell you still can't back up all your saves. Last I knew save backup was behind a pay wall that had exclusions on some games. At some point you had to pair your Switch with a cell phone to get voice chat in multiplayer games.
I remember friend codes, releasing old ass games with just an up-resolution and no real work done to them beyond that for $60. Making old games like Mario a limited run on a digital store to try and squeeze more sales out of them. Tying game quality of life improvements to overpirced cheap plastic toys. The obsessive way they bully their fans on YouTube. You had to be a Nintendo ambassador or they'd take all your revenue.
Nintendo is one of the worse companies in gaming. People celebrate them for all these family friendly games but they're anti-competitive and anti-consumer to their core. They desperately need to be humbled so they can start treating their customers better like Microsoft was with the Xbox One. You would have thought the Wii U would have done that but nope.
