Yeah. I double dipped on both God Eater 1 and 2 for different platforms. Might buy GE2:RB when it goes on sale again on PC.

God Eater 3 ain't it. The Jurassic Park 3 and on of the series

I wanted an Action RPG to hold me over til Cyberpunk came out. Played the demos for God Eater3 & Dameon x Machina but ima just settle for Monster Hunter Generations in anticipation for Rise :hubie:

MHGU is my most played Switch game and a great game if you're a fan of the series. You won't regret choosing it over the other two games you mentioned.

The customization and core gameplay is dope but the demo shows you all the flaws you see in the reviews. Weak story/characters and repetitive missions got boring quick so I couldn’t get into it after a few missions despite loving the customization and gunplay. I could see a sequel being super piff if they fixed it’s shortcomings tho.

I played quite a bit of 4 on the 3DS but have only dabbled in Generations Ultimate & World on Xbox. I just got the Hori Split Pad Pro to go with it tho I’m gonna get my skills back up so I’m ready for MH: Rise in 2021:banderas:

Dude comparing his modded Switch to his Stock, and killing Nintendo :wow: it’s not even crazy features he’s comparing

Why has Nintendo "gimped" the Switch so hard?

So for a long time I've had a hacked Switch and a clean Switch, and looking back, I've noticed I basically haven't touched the clean Switch in a long time, while I use my hacked Switch on a daily basis and the thing is, I'm not actually using my hacked Switch for Piracy.

One of the interesting things about the Hacked Switch is that suddenly it just basically "unlocks" features of the Switch that should just be there on the official console, but for some reason aren't and I can't put my head around why. Some features of the Hacked Switch include

\- [Fully Easily Customisable Horizon OS themes.](https://i.redd.it/n1s3rmvzsqu31.png)

\- Ability to use the Switch's natural ability (The Switch is for all intents and purposes, an Nvidia Shield with a Screen) to use Nvidia Gamestream, so I can literally stream games and movies and apps and [hell my entire PC flawlessly <0.5ms latency from my PC to my Switch.]()

\- Restoring the Hardware's base standard clock speeds and being able to choose clock speeds based on handheld, handheld with unofficial charger, handheld with official charger, docked, literally based on each individual game. Restoring the hardware proper rated clock speeds also only increase Temps <5C

\- Home Media Centre abilities

\- Browser.

\- Twitch Streaming.

\- Syscon/Mission Control lets you use literally any controller, Xboxone, 360, DS4, DS3 etc on the Switch

\- Here is a weird one, for some reason, when running Android on the Switch, suddenly, the Wifi works 3x the distance and has like 5x the bandwidth. Why? Because Nintendo gimped the Wifi on Horizon OS for no reason? The Switch's notorious terrible wifi is literally just a software issue that could be patched.

And this is just some of the small number of things that basically are just there functionally "unlocked" when you use Homebrew and while I understand why say, Syscon doesn't exist (they want you to buy their controllers), it makes no sense for why things like Gamestream, Customisable Horizon Themes, Browser aren't right there out of the box on the official Switch and why in hell the Wifi is so broken on the Official Switch.

Looking at the Nvidia Shield though, there also are just things that should exist on the Switch already like, you know... The Shield having full HD Gamecube and Wii games as part of Nvidia's partnership with Nintendo? Why in hell isn't this on the Switch already?

I just cannot understand why Nintendo has frankly been so lazy with the Switch in terms of actually providing it features. It has no real streaming services, it's online system is a joke, it doesn't even have the OS features that the Wii and DS family had like browser, weather, themes. I understand the Switch was a rushed console, but there is no excuse at this point for the console to be so bare bones and featureless and for Horizon to feature such a terrible UI. I mean, I could literally whip up a new, vastly superior Horizon UI in a few hours and patch it to my Hacked Switch and yet this is too hard for Nintendo.

Gamestream alone, If the Switch came out of the box with its Gamestream features active, it would literally be the most useful and best console of all time without question, why own an Xbox or Playstation when you can stream all the Multiplat AAA games to your Switch from PC? But nope, despite literally being an Nvidia Shield for all intents and purposes, doesn't have it on. I just don't get Nintendo's thinking with how little support they've actually given the Switch, despite it being a massively popular console. Around half of all Switches sold this year alone are "inactive" according to Nintendo. Maybe if they actually had some big standard features on the console, they would see daily use like how I use mine.

Does anyone have any clue why Nintendo has just sort of let the Switch stagnate in terms of features and gimped/locked other features away? It just makes no logical sense to me.

I think they’re gonna start losing the kids if they don’t step into today soon. Hopefully this reboot is a decent overhaul, but I wouldn’t expect it. They are kneecapping their great library with shytty decisions

The craziest part is they got so much bread it doesn’t even matter :pachaha:

\thats my problem with the switch, it just feels like it’s stuck in the mid 2000’s of handhelds as far as features go. The vita and 2DS had more features. I still don’t get it.

Nintendo is about games first and foremost, and essentially only. I get it and I love em for it honestly, but media is merging with or without Nintendo :yeshrug: entertainment centers are getting rolled into as few boxes as possible, and every tick Nintendo can't check off is a potential nail in the coffin as the nostalgia falls on younger deaf ears: which is funny because they would go a long way to instilling some faux nostalgia in these kids if they would make their older titles able to play legally :mjlol: they fukked up a good thing with VC. Nothing great comes with those initials in the end, except Vice City :wow:

Most of us aren’t even complaining about the non-gaming features and apps though. We want things that have been included on other consoles that they themselves had. Folders for games, ways to organize the home screen, wallpapers, a user-friendly online network that lets us easily play games with our friends,a real VC.....etc

I've resigned myself to emulation and/or home-brew for the best version of Nintendo as it's available or as I care. Our crowd just isn't a big enough dent in Nintendo's profits to ever matter anymore. Just like I'll buy a console exclusive twice when it comes to PC, I'll play Nintendo games twice as I'm able to on PC :lolbron:

I must be the only one that don't mind the Switch being "gimped". When I buy a handheld, I want a handheld experience. Meaning nothing too heavy and all over the place for the mere fact that I have a laptop for such things. That's one of the reasons why the PSP failed (even though I was a huge mark for the system). The shyt was all over the place without the ability ro play games. As long as the Switch has Youtube for media stuff, that's all I need:yeshrug:

I feel what you're saying.

But look at a phone or tablet.

Photographers aren't not buying cameras because the new phone came out.

People aren't not buying new tv's and DVD and blu ray players because their phone or tablet is a screen and can stream movies.

People aren't not buying watches because they carry around a phone.

As long as Nintendo creates a system and a game people will play it.

I agree with you in general, but they aren’t undefeated. We’ve seen them take a fatal misstep with the Wii U, even tho all those games did just fine on the Switch.

In the end, they’ll be fine regardless due to their structure. They got so much money stockpiled they could say fukk Mario and still not go broke for a gen. I just think it would be wise to at least take baby steps towards today instead of constantly catching up on simple shyt.

I hadn’t thought of it this way before but I agree. I’ve got all kinds of devices that can do all kinds of shyt. I like the pure gaming focus on the switch. I don’t even have the youtube app on it anymore, Whenever I pick up the Switch you know I’m bout to be playin-playin
