IMO Splatoon is a game you need to play with friends. After I finished the single-player mode, I messed around with the online and it was fun. But it just felt dull playing with randoms online.

Thats tough. As far as time Zelda and Animal Crossing will last you longer.
maybe Animal Crossing cause its hot right now so people will be online. Nothin worse than getting a game later and the population online dead
The thing with Animal Crossing is that you need to know if it is the type you would enjoy. For instance, looking at it it is well designed and well made without question. But for me, I would be bored out of my mind blaming because I don't like simple games like that.
The thing that Breath of WIld does well that it fits all types of gamers. If you only care about just the main story, if you like maximizing Link with armor and his stats or you just like to wander around Hyrule. Breath of the Wild allows the player to play however they want which is why it is such a special game.
With that being said @TakeItFromME if action games are one of your favorite genres of gaming I would play it first. It is significantly shorter then Animal Crossing or BOTW. But it is also a great game and will most likely be the best action game on the Switch until Bayo 3 comes out next year. (Which I am assuming)

The new model Regular Switch Battery life is fukking phenomenal. Compared to the OG switch I don't have to recharge it while I'm playing it at work.

I'm going to be in the minority but I would recommend Astral Chain over either of those games. Astral Chain is probably my top game on the switch and is a must by for anyone who owns one.

Like I said, I'll be in the minority with how I feel. After beating the first divine beast, I put the game down and haven't wanted to continue to play. I can see why someone would love the game but you have to be able to see why someone wouldn't. I might go back and play it again at some point but I never had that moment where I wanted to see what happened next.
