Ok. Clearly says it was a software issue with pairing new pro controllers to 10.0 or 10.1 that was patched.

Joy-cons is a hardware issue.

Easily fixable with the joy-con parts I linked.

I understand what it says breh, but after dumping so much into Joy-Cons, my purchase is just a drop in the bucket in the grand scheme of things but my going to another company is just the level of disgust I have for them. Ultimately, I don't believe that I should reward them for their shoddy quality on the Joy-Cons with another purchase that may be of better quality and more money. I wouldn't desire this controller anyways if the joy-cons worked right in the first place.

That makes sense.

The reality is if you have the joy-cons and the attachment for it you don't 'need' a pro controller. Different ergonomic layout but same buttons etc.

Your dislike or worries with Nintendo aren't about the pro controller but I can see why you won't want to buy their products. That being said definitely be cautious about 3rd party equipment. If it's hardwired it's one thing but for the Bluetooth equipment Nintendo/sony/microsoft could send an update or patch and make all them shyts not work.

That being said unless youve already thrown your joy-cons in the trash I'd highly suggest buying the repair kit and fixing it permanently yourself. It's not hard or time consuming, it's cheaper than any third party option ($15) and it beats having a pair of broken joy-cons collecting dust or being thrown away. Hell if you fix them and sell them for $30 each you'll make a little profit assuming $15 for the repair kit and what 35-40 for the third party controller. Thats 5-10 in your pocket.

my switch just came in. im thinking of getting either animal crossing, astral chain, or botw first. i played maybe a 1/4 or 1/3 of botw on emulator a while ago til it went to shyt.

which would yall recommend?

what i really want is an earthbound port or better yet a remaster, but i'll just stick with it on my laptop for now
