I don't even know how to do online. I briefly saw where I can add a couch Co op but I haven't come across online but then again all I've done is choose my skin then start playing

Nintendo really must hate online. That is the only reason I can see for there's to be so bad after so many years.

There was some stories about how Nintendo did not allow employee's (in Japan at least) to mention Xbox Live or PSN or use them as a reference point for online.

they probably still on that local mindset. and if that's the case, don't charge for this mess. They could have at least brought miiverse over to switch people loved that. It was pretty much Nintendo's own social network.
