Something's telling me that Nintendo is going to announce Super Mario Maker for the Switch soon, since the Switch has sold 32 million that game will increase sells tenfold.

I think its more likely you might end up just getting a sequel to it. Although it is one of the last major Wii U ports they could do.

There's a chance for SM3DW since Captain Toad is on the Switch and it got more attention than it did on the Wii U. I never said it here, but if I was working in Nintendo, I would bring some first and second party games from the Wii U and port them on the Switch with improvements to give those games a second chance on getting attention.

The Mario brand is a damn juggernaut. Most of the top 10 games are Mario games.
