Better late than never, my friends showed me that game during the summer and I also loved the online. This was before I even had a switch and now I'm thinking I need to find it on sale during boxing day.
The digital download talking about some 32GB download on a microSD with 5GB on your console. Forget that lol
What's fun about Doom online?
I'm from the old school fps. Mouse and keyboard. Quake 2, unreal tournament. Before COD and shyt.
Even though there are different modes, you start the map with weapons and just go shoot and kill. It's just about sticks and skills. Sure you can pick up power ups and weapons and shields and stuff but, this now standard way of playing fps online to me is garbage.
They got so much shyt going on, power ups , perks packages, ratings and levels, packs and shyt. Doom is like classic piff.

I know people said this was good
But holding it for myself its damn near a perfect replica of the OG in both size and weight.
Only downside is no rumble which does suck, but the wireless features and motion control support makes up for it.

That's wassup. Yeah I grew up with PC games like Doom and quake
Too bad the game has too much deviltry going on for my tastes these days.
I whole heartedly agree with you. I was cool when games just monsters and aliens. Even basic adventure games have too much lore with Devils and spirits, magic and potions, witches and spells, zombies and diseases and stuff.
In a way games have always been deeper then just monsters and aliens but there's too much lore in a lot of games and I'm a late player as it is so by the time I jump into games a year or more later there's too much going on for me to understand .
Doom has always been demonic.
The newer ones are actually a little more toned down as far as that goes compared to the originals where it was pentagrams and baphomets all over the place.
Quake was also demonic as well.
I let my son play Switch sometimes.
I think the only game really bad he will be exposed to is that dead or Alive beach game but he probably won't play that shyt.
I don't want him seeing no demonic shyt that's why I ain't buying Doom.
It's weird now that I'm a parent I gotta think twice.
But then that dead or Alive game might turn kids into pervs too so can't let him play that when I get it.
Parental Controls App got my back in that case...
I played the original doom games when I was 9 or 10 years old and never put 2 and 2 together.
I just thought it was all monsters.
Got a little older and realized the whole game was demonic and most of the game actually took place in Hell.
The new ones toned that back a bit as far as the imagery goes and went more with the monster angle, but they still make plenty of audio reference to Hell and demonic energy.
Speaking of spirituality....interestingly enough, Diablo 3 is actually the best game in terms of being on the right side of good and evil. The entire game is actually about joining up with angels and fighting evil. It doesn't glorify anything demonic. It's 100% "God vs the Devil" and the whole time you're on God's side.
Throughout the game you are actually referred to as Nephilim, which if you know anything about The Bible is pretty dope.
