This thing is clutch on deployments. Breath of the Wild, Mario Odyssey Octopath Traveler can kill a LOT of time, and Mario Kart/Smash for you and your boys.

That's on Diablo. Games like fortnite and warfare offer free voice chat without the app.

There is no voice chat option at all. Like you can’t use the app or the switch.

kinda thought the app was just for their own first party titles to keep an eye on their target audience, while the switch voice chat was open to third party they want to use it or not.
Yeah. That's on diablo. Not Nintendo. Voice chat is able to be done on switch. Whether they want to use the Nintendo first party app thing or the native voice chat option that is available to developers and is being used by fortnite, warframe....
The diablo port was in works likely before the voicechat options were available (either the Nintendo one or the native chat).
It's on them to do and update and give it to the users.
I'm more pissed that Nintendo didn't do it like wii-u and have a mic on one of the joycons or embedded in the speaker (which is on the back and wouldn't really be functional).
Black ops 2 for wiiu had void chat through the game pad. Which had a built in mic and speakers. I don't like wearing headphones and shyt.
