Was about to grab the Smash Bros special edition console and 3-4 controllers but them shyts expensive as fukk
Coulda got some cheap generic ones but I didn't want to go the 3rd party route simply because I read that you often gotta update the firmware for the wireless to work and it usually needs windows to do it. I'm on a mac plus I've had enough problems with generic controllers in the past I figured it wasn't worth it
So I did my googles for a while and hit that eBay comeup. Got a very lightly used Switch with an installed screen protector, 3 joy con sets, 2 grips, and official carrying case for $380 shipped. Grabbed a 128GB samsung micro SD card with the faster read speeds for $24 as well
I'm starting off with Mario Kart & Mario Party as my first games before Smash comes out next month. I'll probably grab the special edition Smash Ultimate w/ the exclusive pro controller to give me a complete set of controllers and essentially turn my switch into the family "party" console while we keep all the AAA titles and media streaming on the X1 & PS4.
It's also gonna be my first resort when the kid hogging the tv or my girl acting up
Feels good to join the gang and get back on my Nintendo shytOutside of a used 3ds I got a couple years ago, I haven't had a nintendo console since the gamecube.
