But THIS version is a streamed version, which means it isn't being run on actual Switch hardware. Top it off, it's basically a "rental" for 180 days.

I don't think so the way you think. The issues are literally the same as at launch. Zelda was almost the only game at launch for Switch and the games didn't start dropping in nicely until Arms released. Some people are just unforgiving (not an issue, and I don't believe you're a hater for so) about the ports, but the thing is, that the ports are doing better on Switch than they did on the Wii U and there's still some people want, who actually already bought it on Wii U. That's still not even close to how bad the Wii U was. Nintendo is still also supporting games that dropped last year, that includes Pokken DX. Now they're gonna have 3 more multiplayer games to support this year in Aces/Smash/and that Star Fox game.
In short. Nintendo will drop more games post E3 and another moment in which MAJOR games will stop until the next bit roll in. And we'll be right back here saying Nintendo needs to hit it out of the park at E3 next year again.
