Little bit into Zelda and I gotta say it's a little disappointing. Is this what people really wanted? A survival sim? Weapons breaking non stop? Shrines are pretty basic and not challenging. Overall I just think the game is boring. I'm at the point where impa gives you the armor after bringing her a photo of the first memory. Does this get better or what?
You're like 10 minutes into the game. Play more before you post more dumb shyt.

Considering Xenoverse 2 sold over 400k on the Switch, it wouldn't surprise me if they got DBFZ running on the Switch already with plans to release it later next year with all the DLC.

10 minutes? Yeah ok :heh:

Anyway I see why this game is polarizing. I went into this game blind, it is what it is. I guess for people who like the open world slog it's right up their alley.
I’m a huge Zelda fan, but man is it boring so far. I’m not as far as u. The world just seem bland af. It’s so much empty space. Hopefully it picks up for me

Couldn't resist the temptation any longer, picked up a Switch today along with Mario :blessed:

Dude a Best Buy was kinda pushing the screen protector, but it was 40:usure:

Switch Gang - how serious are the issues with the Switch getting scratched in and out of the dock and how many people have some kind of protection?

the dock scratching is overhyped and exaggerated

but i don't even use that dock anymore so it doesn't matter in my case. i use a portable dock.

You can get a tempered glass screen protector for under $10. Just get one cause the dock scratch thing can happen. It's not that likely but it's not a 0% chance either

shyt is different. U gotta just play that shyt differently.

So what do you suggest? I want to enjoy this game if possible.

My main thing is the world is so huge, which is great. But so far all the quests have been fetch quests, which makes shyt tedious cause it's not exactly easy to get across the map, even with a horse. And I don't want to use fast travel too much because the trade off is you can't farm items and rupees, ingredients, etc;

Combat is getting stale, weapons and shields break during combat and you gotta keep switching them mid-fight. It's not difficult, I can parry and fight just fine, it's just tedious.

So I figure i'll advance the story, see what happens, maybe stuff will star to pop off. Impa says ok get me one photo and I'll give you something....OK, I make my way all the way over there, by foot, to those mountain ranges, get the memory, fast travel back to the village, she gives me a suit, and tells me I got 11 memories to go :why: with no context at all. So am I supposed to just explore this big ass world and hope to get lucky and spot a memory?and do that 11 times just to advance this story? Like, who the fukk got time for that, seriously?

Ride a horse as much as possible. get them from stables. use the shrines to teleport near the stables

even if you don't want to beat the shrine at least turn it on so you can use it for transportation. using the shrines, towers and beasts to paraglide to the stables or where you need to go. use ya teleport medallion if you got it.

as far as combat goes. you are weak because you don't even have a fully upgraded master sword. if you did, that weapons breaking issue ain't much of an issue because the durability of the master sword will last about 200 hits then recharges after 10 min so all you need is two or three other weapons in the interim between charging and full strength master sword.

so at this point you should just use attack recipes and stealth suit to assassinate enemies which makes your weapons last a bit longer

Stop playing the game like a checklist

It's an adventure game. you're supposed to just explore the world, If you're not feeling it then move on to a diff game. The opening hours are the best part, running into a giant or the lynels for the first time.

This guy running back to Impa like what should I do next :childplease:

I got one of those off Amazon to be safe.
To be honest, I have a switch with no protector, and I’ve never got any scratches. If you are careful, you’ll never get scratched. I mean, you gotta put it in wrong to get scratches.
