Got Stardew Valley this weekend.
First few in game days I thought I wasn't going to like it. Around day 5 the different areas start to open up and the game gets pretty interesting.
It's definitely the type of game that benefits from being on a mobile platform.

The Nintendo Switch has sold 7.63 million units as of September 30th and the forecast has changed from 10 million to 14 million.

IR Information : Sales Data - Dedicated Video Game Sales Units

It’s on track to outsell the Wii U’s lifetime sales in year one.:wow:

Those are incredible numbers when you consider Switch launched in March as opposed to the holiday season like nearly every other console ever.

What's also interesting in digital sales are up 55%. So, sales for Switch games are stronger than they appear on NPD, which doesn't track digital sales for Nintendo platforms.

Be Capcom brehs.

Capcom Co. , a software publisher famous for the “Resident Evil” and “Monster Hunter” franchises, has released for the Switch only some older titles that it had released to other game consoles. A company spokeswoman said that is normal procedure for third-party software developers because there isn’t enough time to make new games for a console within a year of its launch.

Must be tough porting those Disney NES collections and Mega Man games.:martin:

Meanwhile Bethesda is just throwing Doom and Wolfenstein 2 on there.:skip:

Everything works into a budget and planned out for the fiscal year. Capcom already isn't doing that hot so they would have little flexibility to just break into what they already have scheduled.
Wait until this fiscal year ends and see what they have planned for 2018.

I think gamers need to better understand how game development works and how these publishers operate

They couldn't port a pack of NES roms? :comeon:

Even worse, they refused to localize Monster Hunter XX, even though the bulk of the work is already done since it's just an expansion to an already localized game.

Glad they had money in their budget to put out the most low effort port possible of SF II and way overcharge for it.

Ports cost money to make doesn't matter if it's of a current gen game or a NES collection pack

Capcom just needs to join up with another 3rd party publisher at this point, they can't do shyt on their own right now.
