The pro controller isn’t a must in my opinion.....the joy con cradle works fine...for Mario you probably want to leave the joycon’s free anyway
I prefer the ergo feel of the pro vs the cradle. I bust out the cradle if I run the pro controller out and when playing 2 player. I think if you don't have it or can afford it than you can definitely survive without it but I think the grip / rumble is worth it.

Waiting for that SMT console edition but now I might buy a normal and resell.

How is Xenoverse on this?

looking to get some coop games I can play with my son, just trying to figure out if Pokken has coop or just competitive multiplayer. Otherwise Arms has coop right?

Othello is actually a lot of fun, i play it with my daughter often

Pro controller is a MUST IMO, and a portable battery is definitely helpful. You got the two main titles. I would also recommend Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (must cop if you never had a Wii U) and Ultra Street Fighter 2. Splatoon 2 has gotten rave reviews but I haven't gotten to play it yet.

Yeah, a portable battery is a must. I got the anker 26800+ which will give you a positive charge even while playing. It's the biggest battery you're allowed to take on a plane, but the size/capacity is a bit overkill unless you have a family like i do. If you'd rather travel a bit lighter, I'd go for something around the 20000mah mark.

I agree Pro Controller is worth the purchase, and this is from someone who primarily plays in handheld mode. I don't like the joy-con grip/connector very much. If I'm playing with dual joy-con I go with them split, one in each hand. The rumble is 100% better in the joy-con than it is in the pro controller though. It's much more muted in the pro controller.

Heard good things about the Xenoverse port, just the hub area runs horribly on Switch. That's just the hub though, the game runs fine during fights/missions.

Any plans for a new Kirby game by any chance?

There's a 4 player Kirby dropping in Spring of 2018

is SMT big enough to do a limited edition console version for the game? I think that would just be exclusive to Japan. Or maybe SMT pro controllers, like they did for Persona 5 and the PS4 controller stickers.

They did it for 3DS and that's what I'm counting on.

The Splatoon one was nice, same with Mario.

You think it's worth holding out for?

I'd only play Disgaea and Mario.

That Mario bundle was $500 over here

May have to wait for more switches to be stocked now.

I think SMT is realistically due for late 2019. RPGs is your thing, I believe you may like Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and project Octopath traveler.

True, I must have confused that chart they had earlier in the year with a 2018 release.

December 1st for Xenoblade, not bad.

I'm kind of excited to play on this now, I'll keep my eye out on the console and the controller as well.

Thanks for the help.

If you're into Disgaea, I'd recommend Mario + Rabbids. Also an SRPG but different than Disgaea cause there's no grinding and it encourages you to be very aggressive with your turns. As for a special SMT Switch, maybe? That might be a JP exclusive. Good thing Switch isn't region locked lile 3DS so importing it isn't an issue

If you've never played a Xenoblade game tho, I suggest watching some gameplay of Chronicles X and the first Xenoblade game. Because the combat takes time getting used to and may throw you off early. It all plays out nicely as the game progresses tho.
