Is this a good buy for an 8 year old that's just getting into video games?

He's using an old XBOX360 right now for gaming but it's also his TV streaming box. So he would definitely need Netflix, Plex, and channel apps (like Disney channel) for live streaming. Does the Switch have these?

No Netflix or other streaming services at launch. Most likely will be out in the fall.

I don't really understand these tests. Some of these systems are just years and years old. It's not a fair comparison unless they're all brand new out the box.

Even tjem, where's Game Gear and the Nomad at. Them shyts lasted like half an hour lol
