Come on..The Xbox division is the most at risk. Scoprio might be xbox console while Sony as a whole depends on Playstation. Playstation aint going nowhere unless Sony goes down with the ship. Microsoft would cut the Xbox division and go on with its day without hesitation. Nintendo is in the same boat as Playstation but it has more money.

Safest.

1. Nintendo
2. Playstation

On the brink of death:

3. Xbox division

I"m pretty sure Nintendo's stock will go down when the actual earnings come out.

They only own 35% of the Pokemon Co. I remember reading they only get like 10% of the revenue from Pokemon GO.

The market is just reacting to people who are hearing about the popularity of Pokemon and don't really understand what the game is.

Purchases? But the app is free.

I know Nintendo owns part of it but how does any of them make money?

there is a store in the game that has items that costs real money.
Right, that's the only way I saw how they would make money, which most people don't even need to do.. There must be other ways it's making money I suppose.

Imagine if they just charged 5 dollars for the game :wow:

Naw, people really do buy those in game purchases from these apps. Not me personally but I've heard of people paying for stuff or paying to reduce wait times. Read a story of a guy who spent like 10k on Game of War. If out of however many millions they got, they get like half to put down $1 just to get some pokeballs or w/e, they will make bank.

Hardware is holding Nintendo back when they're the only company that has consistently made a profit on their hard ware.

This is what I'm talking about. Some of you pick a talking point you know doesn't make any sense and build entire posts around it. People even Dap it. It's bizarre as fukk.

Fred.
The hardware is holding the software back. If you want further proof take a look at reality. Nintendo just released Pokemon Go on non-Nintendo hardware and their value just made its highest jump since the 1980s.

When software can drive value like that why bother making hardware so it can struggle to crack 13 million in sales.

Nintendo consistently makes money on hardware because they sell for more than it cost to make. The audience willing to buy their hardware is dwindling. Let's be honest the Wii U had the typical excellent quality Nintendo games and it will be lucky to sell 14 million in its entire life. Their software sales would be way higher if they put their games on platforms the mass market actually wants to but.

They flat out don't need to make home consoles anymore. They suck at it anyway.

Pokemon go is a shytty game and it's free.

Wouldn't be successful as it is as a console game. It's more candy crush than it is a quality game, gamers would enjoy

So you honestly believe that Zelda Breath of the Wild on PS4 doesn't sell better than whatever it would do on Wii U and NX combined?

I firmly believe that the number of people who would buy Nintendo games if they were on competing hardware is higher than the number of people that are actually willing to buy Nintendo hardware just to get them.

You could say that about each of the big 3.

Big multiplats sell more than big exclusive games. More customers=more sales. It's easy math.

I was just saying the Pokemon Go success is attributed to the fact that it's free and easily accessible.

If it was $60 and on consoles, it wouldn't have nearly the success.

No you couldn't. You sure as hell couldn't make that case for Sony. That their exclusives on another platform would sell more than they did on PlayStation platforms. Microsoft is likely but debatable. Nintendo yeah their exclusives on a different platform would outsell what they do on Nintendo platforms if we're talking home consoles.

It's about install base, not what system the games are on. Mobile install base is huge, and the game is free. If whatever don't game you are thinking about came out for free on iPhone/android it would sell a lot more than it is on PS4 alone.
