That's great and all but Prime 1 remastered had updated controls which was a nice QoL change I'd like to see in the others (this was a Switch 1 event btw)

This seemed like a Direct that they promised the partners in a marketing agreement and had to fulfill last minute as they scrambled to manage the Switch 2 launch through the leaks

It seems like they put Metroid in there so that there's some heavy hitters in the presentation. Rhythm Heaven and Tomodochi Life are not moving the needle. It makes me worry as I expected them to really show off MP4 for Switch 2...

Maybe they want to introduce Gamecube emulation on the new console, but there's a ton of games from that era that fans will gladly pay full price for again lol

I’m with Duck on this one. This console is 7 years old with a 10 year old GPU. It’s sucessor is out this summer. They’re sliding the old dog into the coffin. Anyone who expected bangers to get announced is not in tune with reality.

It's cool that they been showing signs of "weird Nintendo" era (GC, GBA, DS, early Wii) by bringing back Rhythm Heaven and Tomodochi. Mario & Luigi last year etc

The games are selling across the board so why not bring these IPs back

A new Wario Land game would've made this presentation completely worth it

The virtual game card idea is a muted version of what the Xbox One was to offer, Sony gamers claimed it was bad and a way to control your games (still doesn't make sense)

Xbox would allow you to sell your digital game cards

so basically the point of the direct was to announce that bullshyt ass digital game rule before they hype people up with the Switch 2 news. now when we go to move our games over we can pretend they aren't hoeing us...

some cool looking games on there that I will be playing on PC or PS5, like the Legend of Goldman Sachs, Marvel Invasion and Witchbrook. Metroid continues to look like a contractual agreement. Overall.. what we got for next week.
