N64 looked really good 1996-1998 didn't age well at all tho

Most Playstation games before 1998 were mad rough looking

Devs pulled off some amazing stuff from 98 to 2000 on PS1

And of course the Dreamcast dropped which basically looked like N64 HD at the time

Majora's Mask required an expansion pak to even run, it's not a fair comparison. There wasn't any expansion pak equivalent for the PlayStation that allowed it to play upgraded games

Just answering the question. My mind went to the best looking N64 games I could think of and thats what came up.

I honestly don't remember which games did or didn't require the expansion pack.

Ridge Racer Type-4
Gran Turismo 2
Chrono Cross

Mgs looks like a pixelated mess compared to winback.

Turok 2, Conkers bad fur day, jet force Gemini, all look better than the games you listed. Does the psx have a game that looks as good as turok 2?

the compression sure as hell didnt help the n64
