I was going to put that in my post that they all do it, even other Europeans whose names aren’t Americanized enough.

I remember I was working with this nurse, a black woman and she said her name was Sarah. So for days I’m calling her Sarah. Eventually I needed to pull up her name in the computer and I couldn’t find a “Sarah.” I said, “I can’t find your name can you pull it up for me” She scrolled down to her name and it was something like a “oluwambi adebayo”


I’m sitting there like where did you get “Sarah” from
