Digimon had better characters, better fights, better stories, and the stakes were better cause whenever ash had to actually fight for his life and the world it was almost exclusively in a movie, in digimon that shyt was default, mfs would actually die. I was on eBay reminiscing about toys I bought and I noticed I was uniformly remembering getting a shytload of digimon toys from about season 1-4. Pokémon just had the superior mainline gaming franchise that allowed to people to connect with more, also the toys were better too by the way, the shyts were piff
