Never seen an ep.

Haven't liked anything I've seen of dude otherwise.

Seems more like a lack of "it" power than some kind of disrespect to him or Black people in general.

That Obama moment seemed forced and not funny enough to warrant the brashness.

You're able to analyze numbers but can't figure out his ratings tanking is a bad thing :dead:

No,you STILL have little knowledge on the subject.
And you are clearly ignoring the numbers I posted. It doesn't show him tanking. So either those numbers are wrong or you are. And if you are claiming they are wrong, show numbers proving they are wrong. Because those numbers are from Nielsen. Don't get mad at me because those numbers don't fit you're narrative. You start to sound bitter with nonsense like that.

You liked the round tables :dwillhuh:

shyt was terrible.

Always had his corny writers on with 0 knowledge.

Show needed better guests for it to work and it needed to be longer.
i actually think the round tables needed to be longer, like 2 segments. But yeah, some nights the roundtable was better than others, but I Think that's usually because they felt rushed.

His monologue/open was pretty strong, but the 2nd segment is usually where things dragged. Then the round table at the end was good, most of the time.

:what:
I posted an article discussing his ratings tanking.

Just because Kimmel also gets shyt ratings means what exactly?

If someone has significantly lost ratings since the show began him beating another program that gets low ratings doesn't change that fact :what:

You're posting articles. I'm talking about the actual numbers. And Kimmel getting lower ratings does matter. These networks are in competition for viewers. So if Colbert in his first year is pulling in from week to week more viewers than the competition, then by definition he isn't tanking. It's either or. That means if he's tanking, then everyone else other than Fallon is tanking. Which could have more to say about late night in general as opposed to Colbert. In addition. Your article is from a month ago. My numbers are from last week. My point is, he has the ability to do the numbers. Him being in his comfort zone with the political race isn't lost on me. So yes that could have something to do with whatever uptick comes. But clearly people want to see him doing more things concerning politics. And I'm sure they have noted that. The numbers are the numbers. Just because you don't like them doesn't change that fact. You are trying to convince everyone that it's all gloom and doom where Colbert is concerned when it looks to me more like it's him getting his footing.

I liked the show and felt it got better over time. Same with Trevor, but it's fukking hard to replace someone like Colbert or Stewart.

It's going to be impossible for CC to get the kind of numbers they got with Stewart and Colbert though. They should lower their expectations. They are going up against a lot of late night shows that focus primarily on entertainment at that hour.

Am I the only one who liked the panel? I thought it was the best part of the show.

I like most of the writers. Only one I didn't like was Ricky Velez. I just like conversation I guess. Like podcasts and shyt. And it felt like a quick ass podcast. I always felt like the guests enjoyed being there more than other shows where it's a straight up interview. They got to actually talk about shyt going on in the world and give opinions on shyt they don't often get to.

You can handle about 5 minutes of him, anymore and you want to throw a brick through your TV.

He is nothing more than a segment comedian, although I never found anything he did funny.:manny:

The round table discussion s on real time with bill Maher is so much better.

It's an hour long show and 45 minutes of it is discussion.

And they also bring in actual guests with knowledge and different views.

I just can't get down with always rotating the same 4 writers in and out constantly when it was clear they were out of their depth on most topics.

Nightly show also had commercials. So often it was like 6 minutes long at best sometimes 8 minutes of discussion. Not long enough.

:snoop: Cacs around social media think Whilmore invented the phrase keeping it 100.

Jesus Christ, cacs are fukking idiots. Anyway, his show sucked, @midni will be fine in that spot from now on. Don't revive the Nightly Show, it was pointless. And whoever suggested canceling the Daliy Show, is an idiot. It's their bread and butter along w S Park. Rotate hosts on TDS until u find a replacement for Noah. They're never gonna cancel it tho.

If I'm Centric or TV One I'd give this guy his own show immediately. I liked how he put to light a lot of topics on race and wasn't scared to talk about it. I think he made white people uncomfortable, all that considered though he was not given enough ammo to succeed long-term and may be better for him to be a big fish in a small pond, instead of a corporate environment.
