I am only responding to what an African American is. I am not commenting on your argument which care nothing about. The census even refers to someone as Black or African American so you can clearly see that the Country just like California is looking to move away from labeling all Black people as African Americans, because they are not and you will soon see universities also moving in that direction to distinguish African Americans from other people that are Black in America.

African American was actually the distinction which was my point. ADOS and all of that other stuff was needed because immigrant Black people and their descendants were latching on to being referred to as African Americans for a number of reasons. I am not getting into you and that other dude's argument which is what you are failing to comprehend. I don't care about that argument but I am glad that distinctions are being made intraethnically, because universities were the first to take steps to provide reparations to the descendants of American slaves and now it is moving into the mainstream.
