He didn't. The PDP couldn't replace Hausa-Fulani + Yoruba because the APC has done that already. Doing so would've alienated Igbo voters in Igboland and all over the country, especially Lagos. His VP candidate had to have been Igbo.

@Hiphoplives4eva - Buhari's victory is actually good for our cause. He will make Nigeria even worse than it is today. An Atiku/Obi victory would've quieted some Biafran secessionists.

I should make a correction and say that PDP miscalculated rather than Atiku, You can’t have a known theif as your candidate don’t matter what tribe he is from, they should have got a fresh face, so many Yoruba people I know are fed up of Bihari and Tinubu but couldn’t be bothered to vote for that crook Atiku so they didn’t bother to vote
