She is wearing Ghanaian garb, not sure why on a big night like this if the dad wanted them to be traditional he should of wore the appropriate Igbo attire. Congrats to him besides the point.
All BS aside, in my lil research recently I found out my region of Virginia was HEAVILY Igbo, something crazy like 50% of the slave population was all Igbo and they had BIG problems keeping them in line.
My whole family on both sides have been in this same area since colonial times so I’m pretty sure my bloodline is majority Igbo and indigenous Black.
I see you going hella hard at Nigeria, is this something that’s just in our blood??

Well that sounds like an issue the thread starter needs to deal with.
I, honestly, came in here, saw the outfit and the first thing I thought was that she needed a tan because the color washes her out. I could have kept that to myself, but it’s not that big of a deal. Her son is in the NBA, I highly doubt she cares about some random stranger on the internet that doesn’t think the color of her outfit suits her complexion, but if you want to fight for her right to wear it, by all means have fun.
so hypothetically speaking you would find it more acceptable if she looked like this
because you know fashion colors and all
