Muslim and non Muslim politicians are playing the population of the area. This group isn't funded by the larger terror groups. They are funded and armed by Nigeria's own politicians. There are mainly attacking and killing poor Muslims.

there are plenty of peaceful muslims, and there are plenty of muslims who use islam to justify violence and oppression. if we could get rid of islam, all the peaceful muslims would lose is a false sense of hope that hasnt been proven to really exist. how would their lives even change? ill wait

Yes I agree that the victims were predominantly Muslims, but I feet that the greater Muslim community isn't doing enough to eradicate the extremists that fill their midst. In Nigeria, there is ample evidence that there are many rich and powerful Muslim leaders sponsoring these pricks.
