Not at all, see if don't let cartoon raise my kids.
If my daughters saw this they would of laughed. My 8 years is the only one to have had a hot comb on her hair and that only happens 3 times a years, the other 2 have never had their hair pressed.
My wife does their hair everyday, and If the 8 year old has her hair messed up coming home from girl she'll react similar cause my wife will get really mad at her for letting her hair get messed.
The black girl in the show was the prettiest and different from the other 3, she stands out.
I'm not raising my kids to be soft, if they can't handle a show like that we got much bigger problems.
