Why do nikkas in this thread keep mentioning Dabo? Bama has nothing to offer him and I’m sure after this announcement the boosters at Clemson will open their check books even more to persuade him to stay

because he was born and raised in bama , played at bama , coached at bama
He'd probably take less to coach there its in his blood

Plus like Colin Cowherd said awhile back, leaving Oregon usually doesn’t work(Chip; Cristobal, Taggert).

Stay at Oregon, get that bag, and feast in California/Hawaii recruits.
Willie walked into a greasefire at FSU.

Cristobal is a great recruiter that underachieves with the talent he has, just like he did at Oregon.

Chip Kelly went to the NFL with no prior experience.

Lanning would be heading to a team that made the playoff and is a perennial national title contender. And he has experience coaching in the SEC

Saban was on the McAfee show recently.

Talked about how the life quality of coaching in college is trash compared to the NFL.

Also said if a recruit asks him "will you be here in 4 years?" His reply was "will you?" :mjlol:

That man was done.

Had to actually start competing for top college talent and decided to quit huh? Just like crackas :mjlol:

He probably had one meeting and heard about them UT bagmen and what they about to be doing in the NIL era and he was like nah I'm good :mjlol:

If you’re Lanning, why take the job?

Hes got a sweet thing going at Oregon and they’d match. I get its Bama, but at the same time, that’s the problem

Yup
I know he's young and can bounce back on his feet if anything. But he could win 9 games at oregon and no one would call for his head. He does at bama he's finished. It rarely works in any sport being the first coach replacing a legend
