Unless they can get Kirby, Dabo or Lanning, Alabama and it's fan base is about to go into a major shock when the team falls back into the middle of the pack in the SEC. I cannot see any incumbent green eye coach have much success there as Saban did and the pressure to be back on top will probably cripple a lot of men in the process in the near future. Saban was starting to get the flat top and he realize that it was time to move on before looking like Larry Homes out here on the college football streets. Bias aside, he is the GOAT college football coach of all time and have to give him my respect.

What about one Urban Meyer?

Not surprising. He wants to keep his slaves...err players broke. His funky ass can make millions of dollars. But the players who are the reason he gets said money can't. These schools made billions of these kids backs.

NIL kills the monopoly that Bama had. These kids got money so now they aren't the schools thumb like before. Saban wouldn't be able to compete. I mean if you had it one sided for the whole time you coached and it changed to not your favor of course you'd be ready to bolt.
I was wondering if someone was going to say this^^^^^^ Alabama had been notorious hoarding talent in college football for years and Saban had been vocal on players not getting paid. :camby:

Saban was on the McAfee show recently.

Talked about how the life quality of coaching in college is trash compared to the NFL.

Also said if a recruit asks him "will you be here in 4 years?" His reply was "will you?" :mjlol:

That man was done.
Bob Kraft finna hire him? :wow: :troll:

Yup
I know he's young and can bounce back on his feet if anything. But he could win 9 games at oregon and no one would call for his head. He does at bama he's finished. It rarely works in any sport being the first coach replacing a legend
If he does end up taking it job, maybe some people will finally understand these coaches are full of shyt when they talk about how they’d never leave for the stability of their family and love of their current program :pachaha:

More I think about it. If you’re Lanning, why take the job?

Hes got a sweet thing going at Oregon and they’d match. I get it’s Bama, but at the same time, that’s the problem
It's the pinnacle of the sport breh. There ain't too many people who can get in the mind of the CFB person; it's a one of one sport. There's no greater achievement from a historian perspective than being that dude at UofA. I think that Tuscaloosa is a fukking rat hole, that side of Alabama is putrid to live in, most Alabama fans got the collective IQ of a sperm cell, but being the guy at Bama is just a clout, status, whatever, that supercedes shyt like money

Surprised but not shocked. We have lost most of the coaching legends in football and basketball and try as they might the NIL has a LOT to do with that. Nick has nothing left to prove though and could have walked away years ago solidified if he wanted to.
