Middle Eastern isn't a race, and the current people in that area are an admixture of many different people who have controlled it over the last couple thousand years. The ancient Hebrews were able to blend in and be indistinguishable from the ancient Egyptians who were black as evidenced by Moses Pbuh being adopted into the royal court.
