fake deep bytches always complaining and making it a black vs white thing.

it's rich vs poor and who will bring in the most money. Taylor is bringing in attention and already boosted sells on chiefs merch might as well milk it for every nfl teams merch.

I get what you’re saying but rich vs poor is another version of black vs white because of the financial opportunities that come with being white (I.e. Taylor and this designer). This is just an example of what being rich and white affords people.

It’s an important conversation. But it’s bigger than this and twitter is a terrible platform to have it on. Not to mention people have obviously moved on from the racial politics of the NFL post Kaepernick and seem to just want to enjoy watching football again.

People are pissed because the NFL is usually  towards people that make their own custom merchandise

But they're letting her do this since Taylor Swift
Fair but I still see fake outrage. :manny: The NFL is one business that shyts on their customers and people still support them. Everything from using tax dollars to build stadiums, the Kap situation, still having teams who never had black coaches etc.

So what’s stopping them from doing the same now?

You have to get permission to sell merchandise with NFL and team logos. The issue is it’s typically hard to get. These are the requirements. Ol girl probably got fast tracked through

How to Become a Licensed NFL Vendor

By Barbie Carpenter

  1. 1.

Gain three years of manufacturing experience. The NFL only grants vendor licenses to manufacturers, not middlemen or distributors. Your manufacturing experience should also include experience distributing the products you manufacture.

  2. 2.

Secure a minimum of $100,000 to meet the royalty guarantee required by the NFL. The NFL requires licensed manufacturers to pay 100 percent of the royalty guarantee every year. Ensure that your annual sales can cover this $100,000 guarantee — and ideally exceed it so that you can profit from your merchandise sales.
  3. 3.

Secure a comprehensive commercial general liability policy. The NFL expects its licensed vendors to possess this insurance policy, which should be worth $3 million per occurrence and $6 million on the aggregate.
  4. 4.

Apply for prequalification to become an NFL licensed vendor. Visit the NFL's website to access the prequalification application, which requires detailed information about your business's organization, finances and history. In conjunction with this application, write a business plan and proposal that details how you plan to use the licensed NFL merchandise in your business.
  5. 5.

Submit other business documentation with your prequalification application. The NFL requires potential vendors to submit two years of audited financial statements and tax returns, an annual report and a credit reference from a financial institution.

Doing what Mexicans are doing to the zoot suit :wow:

We gotta find a way to leverage our shyt. White chicks really do be watching black shyt and then running with it when the time is right to cash in

Don’t tell people they don’t have a culture all the time and maybe they won’t try to prove that they do every waking moment

Sounds doable for those who have established businesses

Nothing. These dummies don't realize you pay for licenses. They are not free. Come with enough money and the NFL will do business with you too.

Why do they have to be dummies? I think the issue that people are having is, they believe they are seeing white privilege at play. I’m not sure if the lady met all those requirements. Black people have been oppressed and fukked over for years, we got a right to complain about anything we want to. And yes, they should use this as motivation. As well, they can say how they feel. Personally, fukk these nikkas, I’d just sell whatever I want to and make them nikkas sue me if they don’t like it.

Breh, it’s the same rinse and repeat mantra:

“OMG white women… something something, cultural appropriation. Something something, trend setters.”

White woman wears braids. “OMG. They wanna be us.”

White women start twerking. “OMG, why are they stealing from us.”

White women wear bonnets. “OMG. Bonnets is a black woman cultural statement.” :snoop:

Those social media warrior clowns are such a laughing stock. No one takes them seriously. 9/10 they’re either foreign flag twitter and/or LGBT just looking for attention.

Does white privilege exist? Yes. Do white women have easier access to opportunities? Of course, this country was built FOR white women.

So now what? Are y’all gonna continue to cry from the sidelines about how “unfair” the system is or are y’all gonna put words into action instead of begging to be acknowledged by white mommy and daddy?

I think we all know it definitely won’t be the latter. Why actually do the work when it’s easier to complain which is deep seated in envy?

Yeah, I’m sure a few sistas with established brands could come together and make something happen.

The women taking issue with this on Twitter don't have brands or were even trying to acquire NFL licenses so I don't get their stance. It's just mad people tweeting without a legit reason to be mad. Beyonce wearing a Bulls uni as a swimsuit doesn't mean anything if she didn't try to create a product off of that.

Again, Don C has been making licensed apparel with the three major sports leagues for a decade +. If you have a hot product the leagues will do business with you.

I'm honestly tired of this soft generation of black folks. Almost every day there's outrage because of some perceived grievance. This lady making her bank off the back of Taylor Swift and Shannon Sharpe saying Taylor moves the needle but black folks ain't hearing it. Somehow a certain demographic of black people have managed to make every single damn thing about ourselves and it's tiring dealing with it. Once upon a time we had dogs sicked on us, couldn't drink at the same water fountain or use the same restroom. We were forced on the back of buses, forbidden from attending certain schools, and this generation makes it about a woman making money from NFL merch. If it were over real grievances I'd get but it's constant outrage about the softest of shyt. it makes us look bad as a collective.

I truly think they have disempowered the black community and taken away from some of our prestige and social capital.
