NFL Week 8: What have we learned

AJ Brown isn't talked about enough as one of the best 3 WRs in football. It's the AJ Brown show in Philly and you just have to pick the week where Goedert or Smith or Swift will "go off".

I absolutely hate the Tush Push and I think it ought to be banned. It's a gimmicky, stupid play and it sucks to watch. That said, the Eagles ran a counter off that formation for a touchdown and THAT was a really good play.

Given that the 49ers look a lot less impressive in the last 3 weeks, it's fair to call the Eagles the best team in the NFC right now. The Seahawks are probably pretenders. And while the Lions are growing, they've yet to mature into a reliable, contending team the way Philly has. Right now, Dallas is the team to make a real argument to the Eagles and we are going to find out how they match up in 6 days.

I swear AJ Brown would put up 1,500 yards and 15 TDs with a better QB.

I said that about two years ago. Glad to see one of my predictions was right.

Lance was drafted where he was drafted because when things arent perfect and right, he has the ability to win those games. Jimmy G and now Purdy does not seem to have that knack for winning

Zach is not a franchise QB. Not one person on here wants him starting for their team. We all see it yet you're the only one hitched to that wagon. Let it go.

Zach is not a franchise QB at this time, but a lot of QBs would have already drowned if handed the situation he was handed: Bad offensive line, a run game that is inconsistent at best, and only one dynamic WR to throw to.

Depending on how you want to look at it... Zach is being asked to do what a franchise QB does, which is make it work when shyt around him isn't working perfectly. It hasn't been impressive all that much, but he has kept the ship afloat.

I hear you but come out. I think that’s the point people panicking like he going crazy with it when other guys still turning the ball other more he had turnovers is like relatively 2 or 3 games and these guys turning it over in practically every game

Also they by far vets with way more experience that should know better

Some of these takes are common sense no? "49ers aren't the same without Trent and Deebo."

Isn't that obvious? Trent is a hall of fame LT. The O-line has been a mess without him. Deebo is a weapon all over the field. People writing him off as a "gadget player" are dumb because he's way more talented than that and he opens up the entire playbook for the team.

That said, the main issue in these past two games has been the defense. Purdy has made some miserable mistakes too but the defense is not getting to the QB and that leaves these corners on an island and they aren't that good..

Yesterday is a prime example of someone who should’ve thrown for 300 yards, but was let down by the things around him.

He lost two centers, playing with a third wheel never snapped a Football before. Never mind the garbage wide receiver core and suspect play caller.

The one thing I am happy most about with him this season is that he has not made any dumb interceptions where he was fooled by the defense. He does not make a lot of dumb decision throws. And he’s also not a sucka.



I’ve watched his film on him and don’t pretend that I know quarterbacks I don’t watch. I am extremely happy with what I’ve seen.

Am I wrong for feeling there's some race shyt involved in the way people are attacking the Niners DC? Another week of Purdy turning the ball over yet the only thing I'm hearing is about defense. A defense that has multiple elite pieces who aren't making enough plays. @JLova

Even with him having to come out and publicly apologize for a blitz call...when does that happen? Only one that comes to mind is Bowles with the cover zero blitz against Stafford, the year the Rams won the chip.

The blitz call at the end of the half in the Vikings game was one of the worst calls I've seen by a DC in the league this year. It made zero sense.

Also, yes the defense is underperforming. You can blame Bosa for sure. I know I've been shytting on Bosa for weeks. But the defense is still the DC responsibility so what do you expect people to say about it. They need to be better.

Also, Purdy is catching hell for the last two games where have you been? People are saying he should be out of the league...
