Crazy how narratives change
I know people don't want me to up old threads where Stafford for years was called an overrated stat padder that was completely carried by Megatron :sas2:

Man I've always defended Matt. There was 2 draft classes that 3 years later not a single player was on an NFL roster.

No QB can overcome that level of ineptitude

Funny you mention that bc I distinctly remember Richie James getting his snaps in NY.

That man Toney is going to cost them a playoff game and I can’t wait. They had to nerve to be arrogant and try to blame refs instead of him.

Why? Bc they’re scared of him. KC = Warriors. Toney= Draymond. When you don’t have real nggas in leadership positions dudes be afraid to check the hude ngga. :umad:Pro sports ain’t nothin but an extension of pop warner and HS I seen it before. Andy Reid, Mahomes, Kelce all out of their element on personal level. All for a gotdamn gadget player
Toney was a major reason why they won the last SB

You know why the "Purdy shouldn't get the MVP stuff" is a dumb conversation. Would anyone be having that conversation if Purdy had been drafted in rounds 1-3?

That's what makes the conversation silly. It's literally all based on his draft position as if Kurt Warner wasn't fukking bagging groceries 2 years before he won the super bowl MVP

The internet, analytics and ESPN has ruined NFL discourse especially around QB play

You seem to watch enough football to know it has nothing to do with his draft placement. I don’t understand inserting some bad faith argument.

The hesitation of Purdy’s MVP campaign is centered around his elite teammates. “Value” has to mean something in MVP. Purdy doesn’t have much on his plate compared to other QBs like Lamar and Allen.
49’ers can make a deep playoff run without Purdy.
Baltimore and Buffalo are not playoff teams with Lamar and Allen.
Lamar or Allen in the 49’ers offense as it’s currently constructed(ignoring contract) would be scary for the league

These dudes will insert some bullshyt narrative as if we're not watching the games and don't understand the term "value.".
I understand Purdy is leading the MVP race. To me it should be Lamar.
MVP = Player doing the most with the least

This has never been the metric. If it was, Manning never would have won one, Brady wouldn't have won in '07, Mahomes wouldn't have won in '18, etc.

I understand that’s the case
The line above the post you quoted I’m literally saying that it’s Purdy when he’s obviously not doing the most with the least
