Nice gut-check W for the Ravens. O wasn't as sharp, expected w/o Andrews. Gantlet of a schedule to close out, so the bye's coming at a great time. Also: people who gripe about Lamar's contract, look at his counterpart last night.

Thought the Bills might be this year's version of last year's Bengals, but they've just dug too deep a hole now.

Still wild to me how awful the Patriots and Giants are. Even 2 years ago this would've been a no-brainer prime timer.

Jags-Texans is potentially gonna become a really fun rivalry. Speaking of the AFCS, Steichen needs to get some COY votes.

The Giants weren't good two years ago. That was a Joe Judge year.

I'm obviously talking about passing stats but you just want to argue:stopitslime:

He's 13th in TD's, 11th in yards, 10th in completion %, 12th in QB rating, and only Josh Allen, Sam Howell, and Mac Jones have thrown more INTs.

When Mahomes won it last year he had 5000+ yards and 40+ TDs which lead the league. Even Lamar and Cam were 1st and 2nd in passing TDs the years they won MVP. Hurts isn't close to the top 5 in any of the big passing categories which is normally what you expect from an MVP QB.
I don’t care what you mean because it’s still a stupid fukking argument :mjlol:

Like because you choose to ignore his rushing stats and rushing touchdowns doesn’t mean ur gonna convince others to do so when that’s a huge part of hurts game and how he plays

I'm not picking and choosing. I'm just saying that it's dumb to act like Hurts has been playing great this year
Hurts is the leader for MVP:

Must be doing something right.

I’ve been at Lamar’s neck pause all year, this time I’ll remove my opinion and just post numbers

QBs vs the Chargers this year (not including backups Zach Wilson, O’Connell, and Tyson Bagent)

Tua 26/45, 433, 3td, int 84 QBR
Tannehill 20/24, 246, td 63 QBR
Cousins 32/50, 367, 3td, int 44 QBR
Dak 21/30, 272, td 58 QBR
Mahomes 32/42, 424, 4td, int 93 QBR
Goff 23/33, 333yds, 2td 77 QBR
Love 27/40, 322, 2td 56 QBR

Lamar vs chargers: 18/32, 177, td 36 QBR

Those are just pure numbers, no opinion. Here’s some opinion: As a passer, Lamar Jackson is ASS. :beli: The pass game is ASS. Straight trash.

I’m tired of grading this ngga on a curve. The days of Cam, Vick, Vince, all running QBs who couldn’t pass for shyt but just ‘won’—-until defenses caught up with them. Lamar was supposed to be better than that but he’s regressing into that right before our eyes. But people blinded by the wins
Im with you, breh. I am sick of the excuses, too. Tired of hearing about what he did at Louisville as if it means anything in the NFL. Tired of him overshooting open WR's down the field. That 2019 MVP season was obviously an outlier.

The heights
You out your gotdamn mind. Neither one of them are as accurate or process a defense like Purdy does.

Fields may not be as accurate and efficient but the boy would ball the fukk out in this offense with these weapons. Without question. But even better, put Brock on Chicago's roster...put him in Carolina...are we still talking MVP? Is he taking them to the playoffs? I don't think so. I think Brock will have to show out in the playoffs to garner full support and I think he has the ability to do so. I think only a handful of teams can even compete with the 9ers at full strength.
Fields is a accurate passer fields issue is that he holds on to the ball way to long and I agree with @JLova put Brock purdy on the bears and the bears would be in the same situation as now put fields on the 49ers and the niners are still Super Bowl contenders

I'd take Lamar because he doesn't turn the fukking ball over damn near every game:beli:

He has 11 turnovers this season, that's one every game average. And Josh has twice as many TDs. The Ravens are clearly winning because of their defense while the Bills are Allen or bust, its not even a comparison.

If Michael Pittman Jr played with a better quarterback, he could put up the same numbers that prime Michael Thomas did with Drew Brees.

"Hurts making an MVP push despite not having great numbers."

I already showed he's not top 10 in passing categories so how could I say he's in the MVP convo if I'm I ignoring his rushing? You were in such a rush to hit reply and argue you're not making any sense.

And if you look at his rushing numbers they're way down from last year. He's on pace for about 610 yards. He had 760 last season and he missed two games.

The only number he has this season is rushing TD's and that's padded by the tush push. The vast majority of time a QB who wins MVP is leading or close to the lead in a statistical passing category. Rodgers had 48 TDs and lead the league. Brady, Mahomes, etc all did that. The outliers are the running QB's who won but they had BOTH passing and rushing stats.

Cam:
Passing 3800yds 35tds (tied for 2nd) 10int
rushing 600+ yds 10 tds

Lamar:
Passing 3100yds 36tds (1st in the league) 6int
Rushing 1200yds (NFL record) 7tds

By the numbers they were great passing AND throwing. Hurts winning MVP with okay passing numbers and high turnovers (4th in the league) will be an anomaly so my statement stands. His numbers aren't great. Their record, him being clutch, and it being a down year for the usual MVP candidates are the main reason he's the favorite. If Mahomes had better WR's he'd be running away with it because his numbers would dwarf Jalen's just like last season.
