Purdy is a system QB that has a chance and is building his path to "becoming the system". And that's fine. That doesn't mean he can't ball.

But if he was wearing Carolina blue or navy blue in Soldier Field y'all would be talking about him maybe a step above the QBs who are there now.

Where he is, is accelerating his growth.

Purdy is hard to compare; because Fields or Bryce in the 49'ers would be Pro-Bowl caliber QBs

I think Brock has talent and is sharp between the ears, but also feel that a more gifted QB would be doing some crazy shyt with this offense. Not to take anything away from him but I think Stroud is far more impressive right now.

You out your gotdamn mind. Neither one of them are as accurate or process a defense like Purdy does.

Fields may not be as accurate and efficient but the boy would ball the fukk out in this offense with these weapons. Without question. But even better, put Brock on Chicago's roster...put him in Carolina...are we still talking MVP? Is he taking them to the playoffs? I don't think so. I think Brock will have to show out in the playoffs to garner full support and I think he has the ability to do so. I think only a handful of teams can even compete with the 9ers at full strength.

So the Jets couldn't have made a trade for Trey Lance or Joshua Dobbs???

Malpractice. The Jets could have offered a 3rd for Lance or a 5th for Dobbs. This team has too much of an attachment to Zach Wilson.

MVP. Probably not but Brock would have either team in the hunt.

Bryce ? I know Shanahan specifically didnt want Fields either because dude holds the ball for a loong ass time and his processing was suspect af.

If anything the football discourse has proven over the years, its that even football-oriented folks have A LOT of issues separating the QB from a system. Fans have no idea and anyone claiming that they can separate a QB in a vacuum from their coaching and/or system, is just bullshytting.

Tom Brady literally was called a system, dink-and-dunk QB on this site for nearly two decades. And it wasnt like it was like a minority calling him that, majority of posters on here literally said he wouldnt do anything outside the patriots and Beli.

Now the same people are on his dikk and saying Beli isnt shyt.

If people were so wrong about a QB who is arguably greatest ever, then my conclusion is that people have no room to talk about "system qbs" anywhere. Each QB can and should be evaluated based on how he plays on his own team, not where he was drafted or how coaching puts him in a spot to succeed. Physical talent also only gets you so far. Does Jalen Hurts get penalized from Philly building around his strengths and not his weaknesses ? Can't separate QB from a system that is built in order for said QB to succeed.

That isn't to say that one cannot say that for example Jimmy G didnt benefit from playing on the Niners. It's just that when you analyze his game while he was on the Niners, youd see a ton of deficiencies, which were obvious. That's why you evaluate a QBs throws and not win/loss record which is a team stat. Needless to say I dont see the same defincies with Purdy.

Brock's arm talent is very pedestrian, and sometimes he'll play heroball out of structure a bit too much which results in turnovers. That's about it as far as deficiencies go. He isnt afraid to rip it and get greedy, which is praised by guys like Mike Martz, Kurt Warner, JTO which all kinda embraced the big chunk gains and not being afraid to rip it.

The problem is really when people call him elite which he isn't and we won't really know if he can be elite until he accumulates like 2-3 years of high quality play. Not even going on a playoff heater runs makes a QB elite, word to Flacco and Foles.
